Natural Selection

Slovenia is increasing being recognised as being at the forefront of the natural wine movement. 'Natural' wines are typified by low intervention, no chemical, herbicides, pesticides, or fertilisers in the vineyards. In the cellars spontaneous fermentation is the norm with very minimal use of sulphites. 'Natural' isn't a regulated term or approach but look out for organic and/or biodynamic certification and practices as well.
